ARE YOU READY FOR THE SUMMER?!!?!?!?!?

This past year both of my aunts Monica, and Amber decided we should take a summer trip to anywhere we wanted to. I said Portland, Oregon because of the nice downtown area, and my love for the IFC comedy show “Portlandia”. They both agreed and suggested we also take an hour, and a half drive to Seattle, Washington at the end of our trip. It was the perfect plan for a summer trip I needed in a long time.

From, my New Mexico trip in June I spent with some family and my brother Solomon. I then left Albuquerque, New Mexico off to Portland, Oregon with auntie Amber. We met up with Monica in Las Vegas and took a Southwest flight to Portland!! We arrived at the Portland airport and drove straight to our hotel, we got there at about midnight and were pooped! ^-^ The next morning we woke up early, got our breakfast at the various mini coffee stands they had everywhere. We decided that the day would be spent sightseeing the different nature parks/landmarks in Oregon. The day plan was to drive up to Astoria to see Mikey’s house, and the many places where the classic 80′s film The Goonies was filmed. Along, the way we went to see different beaches, saw my first lighthouse up close, stopped in Tillamook and visited the Tillamook Cheese factory, and walked at many state parks taking in the crazy beautiful scenery you don’t usually see in Los Angeles.

At the end of the day, around dinnertime the aunties and I ate dinner downtown at a place called Touché. Basically that night we were just driving around downtown looking at all the places I was going to shop at the next day. Ha. Day: 1 in Portland Compete!
